Over the next week, students across the country will head back to school to start the new year.
And as teenagers reach their final school years, many hear the same message: ‘put your head down, study hard, go to university’.
But there’s a growing push back that says that university isn’t always the answer.
Nicholas Wyman, CEO of the Institute for Workplace Skills and Innovation, has spent several years looking at how governments around the world tackle apprenticeships and technical training.
He’s written a new book called Job U, and he joins Fran Kelly on RN Breakfast.
